International flights arrive daily to Belize City from Canada, U.S, Europe and other parts of the world. Connections are meanly done through Miami and Houston. Sarteneja Bus serve Sarteneja from Belize City, Orange Walk and/or Corozal (US$5 Belize City to Sarteneja). From Belize City: The Sarteneja Bus Line leaves Belize City at noon passing by the junction to the Phillip Goldsen International Airport at 12:30 p.m. arriving in Orange Walk at 2 p.m. and leaving again for Sarteneja at approximately 3:30 p.m. Two other buses will pass after the 12:30 p,m. one: 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Sarteneja has its own airstrip. Tropic Air has daily flights twice a day (early morning and late afternoon) that could take you directly to the village if you are at least 2 persons. Flights are available from Belize City, San Pedro and Corozal. (cost per person from Belize City to Sarteneja is US$113). An alternative means of travel to northern Belize is through Cancun which is served by many U.S. carriers.Then take a modern express bus leaving from the main bus station downtown Cancun to Chetumal. Buses leave every hour for the five-hour ride down the Mexican Yucatan. You will need pesos to purchase your ticket. At the main bus terminal in Chetumal you will find a Novelo's Bus Line that will travel across the border into Belize and to points further south. You will pass through Mexican and Belizian customs and immigration. Note: Upon arriving in Cancun you will be issued an exit card at the airport. Make sure that when you pass through Mexican immigration on the way to Belize that you have them stamp your form as a "double entry" when you pay your exit fee to avoid paying it again when you depart Cancun on the way home. The bus into Belize will stop at the regional center of Corozal and there are several ways to get to Sarteneja: • By Bus. Regular local buses from the Corozal Station leave for Sarteneja (last one is at 1:30 p.m. Count on a couple of hours for the trip. • By Water Taxi on the Thunderbolt. Sarteneja is not a regular stop on the Thunderbolt but will stop at Sarteneja, if requested. The high speed boat departs Corozal daily at 7 a.m. or 3 p.m. 30 minutes after you'll be arriving in Sarteneja. Cost is approximately US$22. The bus will drop you directly in front of "Chez Didi" just ask to the driver. If arriving by plane or by boat we will come to pick you up. Just let us know how you will be getting here.
